Growing up there were three other Thomas Johnsons just in my school district alone. Got the wrong mail constantly, mix-ups at the doctors office, and once even had my credit report merged with another guys. Anyone else have stories about sharing this incredibly common name? Sometimes I wonder if our parents even tried lol

Oh man the mail thing is so real. I lived in an apartment building once with another Thomas Johnson two floors up. We eventually just started leaving each others mail in a pile by the mailboxes.

I work in IT and our email system is firstname.lastname. When I joined the company I became thomas.johnson4. FOUR. Three other people with my exact name already worked there.
this is why i go by my middle name at work lol
I do family history research and Thomas Johnson is genuinely one of the hardest names to trace because there are SO many of them in every generation. Good luck figuring out which one is your ancestor in census records.
The worst is when you google yourself and the results are just pages and pages of other Thomas Johnsons. Athletes, politicians, criminals. I always worry which one people find when they look me up.
i once got denied a job because they found a thomas johnson with a criminal record in the background check. had to prove it wasnt me with my social security card and drivers license. took two weeks to sort out. being thomas johnson is an adventure
My name is Thomas Thomson (yes really) and I thought I had it bad but you Johnson folks have it way worse. At least when someone spells my name wrong they usually spell it as Johnson and then I get to correct them. You guys just get lost in the crowd.
pharmacy mix-ups are the worst. got a call once that my prescription was ready... except i hadnt ordered anything. another thomas johnson in the system. now i always confirm my birthday and full address before picking up meds. learned that lesson the hard way
